Why enable the compression of CSS files on PrestaShop ?
Enabling the "smart cache" option for CSS code improves the display performance and loading time of your PrestaShop front office without changing the code.
This option acts in 3 steps on the javascript files by firstly concatenating them, then the deletion of superfluous characters (spaces, line breaks ...) and finally the caching of this CSS file.
For optimal efficiency it is also recommended to enable the smart cache option for JS files.
